Registers overview

Registers are structured logs your firm maintains for risk, security, property interests, incidents, and physical assets. They live outside individual matters but can reference matter or client context where configured.

Physical mail

Physical incoming/outgoing mail is tracked in the Mail register. In the staff portal sidebar it appears under the Registers group (not under Emails in navLinks.ts). It is separate from Microsoft 365 email under General → Emails.

Permissions

Each register has its own view/edit permissions. If a menu entry is missing, request access from your administrator.
