Overview

Disbursements are expenses incurred on behalf of a client during the handling of a matter. These costs are tracked separately from time-based fees and can be included on invoices.

Common Disbursements

• Court filing fees
• Search fees (e.g., title searches, company searches)
• Expert witness fees
• Travel expenses
• Courier and postage costs
• Photocopying and printing charges

Creating a Disbursement

To record a disbursement:

1. Navigate to the relevant Matter
2. Open the Disbursements section
3. Click Add Disbursement
4. Enter the description, amount, and any relevant details
5. Save the disbursement

Disbursements will appear as available items when creating an invoice for the matter.
