Teams (administration)
Teams group users for permissions, workload, and reporting. Administrators maintain teams; practitioners consume them through matter roles, queues, and notifications.
Where to find it
In the Admin area, open Accounts → Teams (navLinks.ts). Creating or editing teams requires Teams.Edit (matches admin.router.ts on the teams segment).
You will see a list of teams; select one to edit membership and metadata.
Typical configuration tasks
- Create a team per office, practice group, or support function.
- Add or remove members when staff join or leave.
- Link teams to workflows or project templates where your firm uses team-based routing.
Relationship to “Groups”
| Concept | Who manages | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| Teams (admin) | Administrators | RBAC boundaries, matter teams, remuneration cohorts. |
| Groups (user) | Power users or admins | Collaboration spaces with shared safe storage. |
Exact naming can overlap between firms; follow your administrator’s vocabulary.
